“Summer” – a poem by Rory (3rd Class)

We are now in summer,

The silage has begun,

The lambs are getting older,

And we’re all out in the sun.

We’re grooming all the dogs,

To take them to the shows,

Dressing them up,

In brightly coloured bows.

The boys are at the silage,

They’re working very hard,

Making loads of money,

And flying in the yard.

The lambs are now older,

They’re running around,

With sheep running away,

Never to be found.

Summer, summer, summer,

It is finally here,

Let’s go outside and play,

And jump and scream and cheer.
