The Bible

The Bible is full of old texts and we Christians consider it to be a record of the relationship between God and humans.

The New Testament is a group of writings by early Christians. The Bible was estimated to be sold over 5 billion copies. The English word Bible is from the Latin word Biblia. The New Testament is a lot shorter than the Old Testament because the New Testament doesn’t have all the old words and it leaves out some of the facts about God and Jesus and the Old Testament is a lot longer because it has all the facts. The New Testament was published in 1582.

The Bible has been translated into more than 2,000 languages. Some Bible chapters are actually acrostics and are meant to be memorized. The Bible’s books were written in three different languages (Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic).
