Ethos/Mission Statement

The school will have an atmosphere and outlook based on Irish Christian Values. It shall be a place where pupil, teachers and all staff feel safe and secure. Enjoyment and fulfillment will be sought in the pursuit of learning and in the inculcation of knowledge and general principles.

Pupils of all abilities will be extended to their limits in quest of achieving their true potential.

The goal of Banteer National School will be the creation and maintenance of an environment that develops children into young people who are well aware of ourselves and others, are confident, capable of functioning in a competent manner as individuals and in groups, having respect for themselves and others and being tolerant of those who may differ in any respect.

We in Banteer National School will strive to identify and address the intellectual, spiritual, physical, mental and cultural needs of the children.
We aim also to promote, to all individually and collectively, the professional and personal development of teacher through staff development programmes.

We in Banteer National School will endeavour to enhance the self-esteem of everyone in the school community, imbue in the pupils, respect, for people and property and to encourage in them the idea of being responsible.
