Here is my guide on how to feed a horse properly. If you are hand feeding a horse then follow these steps.

• Make sure you have your hand straight out and not curled for risk of getting bitten.
• Let the horse sniff your hand where the food is.
• Be patient let the horse bring its head to you not your hand to its head as it might startle the horse.
• If the horse is sowing signs of aggression or fear such as ears pressed back and other signs be careful as they might be startled easy and could bite and kick.
