Banteeer Railway Station

This month Dylan and I did a project on the Glen Theatre. We learned very interesting facts like, The Glen Theatre was built in 1840 but was known back then as The Old school until 1976 and then a locally formed committee renovated into a Theatre.
I did a project on Kanturk Church.
It has six rows of seats,a big altar and four aisles up to the top.
Kanturk castle was built in 1601. It was built for the Lord of Duhallow. The building was made of stone and floors were entirely wooden. They used fire places to light up the room and to heat the rooms. The lords room was probably the main room. But the castle was never finished because the Queen of England heard the castle was being built and put a stop to it. She feared that there would be a battle. I went to Kanturk castle and I learned a lot about it and I took some pictures. Kanturk Castle is now a tourist attraction with many stopping to take pictures, especially bride and grooms! I chose Kanturk castle because I didn’t know much about it and it’s in my locality.
