I picked Banteer Train Station because I didn’t know much about it and I didn’t know much about it.
I learned a lot but I was surprised to find out that it was one of the only train stations in Ireland that is in a village. I also learned that in the 1980s there were twelve people working there and that the station master lived there for 17 years.
Edel and I visited there and fond out that all the doors were locked. The tracks and foot bridge were in good condition though.
After doing this project I know a lot more about the train station.
