The cycle of a butterfly. A butterflies life starts off as a egg and when it is ready to hatch it dose and  becomes a caterpillar that is the first stage of it’s life. The has to eat loads of leaves to make a cocoon.

The caterpillar is the second stage they eat loads for cocoons. Before that they have to eat loads of leaves.

A cocoon is when a caterpillar has eating loads of leaves and is ready to go into one of them. They can be in there up to about 3 weeks. And that is the third stage of it’s life.

After the 3 weeks  when it is done in the cocoon it come’s out as a beautiful butterfly and that is the butterfly cycle.
