Physical Features of Europe and the World ~ Mountains of North and South America

Researchers Discover Why the Yellowstone Supervolcano Is Rising - Men's Journal

Hello everyone, and welcome back!!! Today I’ll be teaching ye about mountains of North and South America.

There are lots of mountain ranges in the Americas, but the biggest is the Rocky Mountains in North America. The Andes mountains are so high they’re nearly always covered in snow. They cover more than 50 peaks over 6000 m high. Many aeroplanes have crashed in these mountains and have never been found, because they were buried in snow.

The Rocky Mountains go from Canada to New Mexico in USA. Yellowstone National park is in this mountain range. This park is about half the size of Leinster. The largest Volcano in North America is also there – The Yellowstone Caldera.

I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to read the next one!!!
