Ditches, drains, water troughs, ponds, rivers, streams etc. may be present in the field so do not approach in case you slip and fall in. Farmers put up fences around rivers, lakes and ponds to prevent animals or people from falling into them. This also protects the water from getting dirty.

Power take off (PTO) transfers the power from a running tractor engine to power an implement attached to the tractor. There are many pieces of machinery and equipment that require the power of a PTO.
